Work with Sam

For people looking to settle the mind and find answers to the questions underneath money, work and life.

One-to-one coaching

My coaching is rooted in the philosophy of Wela and always starts from a simple idea: everything is connected. So while we might begin with one issue, the real work involves connecting the dots of your life and letting change ripple out from there.

The issue someone might arrive with rarely tells the whole story. Money questions often turn out to be questions about values, and career decisions lead to questions about identity. The job of coaching is to help untangle the threads so you can see clearly.

Most of the people I work with are, on paper, doing fine. They tend to have a decent job or their own business, a house and a family that's taken care of, and more often than not their bills are up to date. Yet despite all of that, there's often a nagging sense that something's off, or a path ahead that isn't clear.

Together, we strip everything back and work on seeing things as they are. We might work with the body, the mind or both. We might talk about your habits, the people closest to you, how you spend your time, how you earn and spend money, and how you feel about it all.

Eventually your original question usually finds its answer, and you'll have learned something about yourself along the way.

Who it's for

This work suits people who sense that something deeper than the problems they're trying to fix is shaping their lives, and who are willing to look honestly at the patterns behind their choices, relationships, work and use of time.

It takes effort and commitment, and it isn't a fit for quick relief or surface-level fixes. It's for people who want change that holds up over time.

How the work is structured

My work varies depending on how each person thinks, but loosely speaking my one-to-one coaching works through seven components. Each one stands alone, and complements the others.

01

Wela mapping

How money, body, mind, relationships, time and meaning interact as one system, and what needs attention.

02

Pattern recognition

The loops that keep repeating. Once you can see a pattern clearly, you start to have a choice about it.

03

Foundations first

Sleep, movement and nervous-system regulation, which everything else rests on.

04

Perspective and decisions

Reframing situations that feel fixed, and understanding fear, habits, expectations and intention.

05

Embodied work

Breathwork, somatic practice, meditation and movement that work alongside conversation.

06

Money psychology

The Conscious Currency® phases help you make sense of your financial world and how it connects to the life you're living.

07

Practical integration

Turning insight into routines and systems that fit how you think and operate.

Neuroinclusive and personalised. Each session and each client is different, and nothing assumes linear thinking.

Honest accountability. Clear commitments, regular check-ins and support between sessions.

How this looks in practice

Scaling the business

Someone arrives wanting help deciding whether to scale their business. I could help develop a strategy, but that mustn't be the first move. The question opens up what scaling would mean for their energy, relationships, time and identity, and whether it's coming from ambition, a fear of missing out or an inherited idea of success. What are they doing it for, and what will it cost? What does money represent in the decision: safety, worth, freedom or pressure?

By the end, the business question becomes clear. More importantly, they have a better way of making decisions, without the same internal conflict repeating itself.

Anxiety despite success

Another person arrives with persistent anxiety despite real professional success. Rather than treating the anxiety as something to get rid of, we might explore what it's doing: what it's protecting against, and where it made sense in the past. Alongside that, we work practically with sleep, breath, movement and nervous-system regulation, resetting the foundations that make different responses possible.

Often the anxiety eases once the wider system changes, and they become more present in their own life.

What changes

People come in for different reasons but often leave with similar things:

  • A greater sense of control over your life
  • A fresh perspective and a clear direction
  • Less noise, and more presence
  • New ways to handle pressure and regulate your nervous system
  • Concrete takeaways from each session to carry with you

About me

I spent two decades in financial planning, including co-founding an award-winning firm, but after a long time leading businesses and managing people, I stepped back to work on myself. I'm now the founder of Ripple Out and the creator of The Conscious Currency®.

I coach across the whole of life. As a trained meditation coach, my work takes in the mind and the body, and draws on history, philosophy, psychology and culture as much as finance. I'm used to working with all kinds of minds, neurodivergent and neurotypical, and the way I work reflects that.

What this isn't

Coaching isn't therapy, nor is it regulated financial advice. I don't diagnose, I don't treat, and I won't tell you where to put your money. If what you need is one of those things, I'll say so and point you to the right person, or work alongside them where that helps.

Tell me what's going on

Coaching starts with three sessions at £900, then continues at £300 a session for as long as it's useful. It starts with a conversation, and then I'll tell you clearly what I'd suggest. Tell me a bit about what's going on, and I'll come back to you myself.

Something went wrong sending that. Please email me directly at admin@rippleout.co.uk.

It comes straight to me and goes no further. You won't be added to any mailing list.

Thank you, it's with me.

I read these myself and I'll come back to you personally, usually within a couple of days. No need to do anything else.
